Pink with Red, Pink with Orange, Pink with Black, Pink with Navy. there isn’t a colour out there that doesn’t benefit from being enhanced with a touch of pink, even pink on pink. There is so much of this pretty colour around this season, BUT don’t think it’s a one hit wonder, pink is a favourite colour for ANY season and somehow always looks fresh. Stronger shades look better as we age, pastel tones can be a bit bland, so need a structure like a puffed shoulder or sharp collar to really stand out and add a youthful edge. See one of my previous blogs (Shoulder Style) featuring a fabulous pale pink sweat from And Other Stories.
For an easy daytime casual cool look, just add a pair of white sneakers ( Stan Smith by Adidas) to some cropped pink pants. I like a darker colour with Pink and this navy floral top works perfectly, the small ruffle on then top adds a feminine dimension, but the whole look is kept modern and clean.
Oversized sunglasses and a simple leather pouch, both in black, keeps the whole look pared back and effortless.
A quick change of shoes to these studded mid heel sandals with the addition of a wide belt and contrast clutch makes this look night time ready in a flash without losing the modern edge. The sporty racer style back on this top gives it a fresh, current feel too.
